So I realized yesterday that what I am calling Day 2 is really Day 1, so I’m really going to be doing a 22 Day Fix. 🙂 It’s a weird quirk I have to start things on a Sunday – if I try to start on a Monday, it just never works. I need to begin when I define my week to start.
That said – Monday was Plyo Extreme. HOLY CRAP. My performance was abysmal! The workout is structured as a 30 second on/30 second off timeline. And I thought – oh, 30 seconds? I can TOTALLY do that. Pfft, this is going to be a breeze. And if I wasn’t so horribly out of shape, maybe I could! But I’ve always had bad lower body strength, so the combination of weights and jumping didn’t work out so well. Actually, the weights aren’t bad, but I hate jumping and lower body workouts. SO MANY SQUATS. I would say that I made it through the 30 seconds on about half the workouts and 15 seconds through on the other half. So the goal will be by the end of this to get all the way through, because even with my half-assed job, I am still so sore. So I’ll consider it a success.
Meal Plan so far is going well! The hardest part for me is 4 proteins… it’s more than I am used to! I had 2 Shakeologies yesterday, some fish, and some yummy greek yogurt. 🙂 Doing well with water intake too – but I add a bit of lime and mint to it so that it’s not so tasteless.
My current favorite Shakeology recipe is to brew a cup of hazelnut coffee in my Keurig and then blend it with Shakeology. That way I still get my fix but without the cream and sugar or the bitterness!
